do these really work just wanted to ask before i bought it since iturned up my poundge i have more vibration in my bow and thought it might help but have never had any experance with it

I switched to a carbon fiber guide rod and it also took alot of the vibration away. I have never used one of those though. Guide rods tend to bend slightly especially with heavy pull weights and the carbon fiber rodsseem to dampen better than the alum. or steel rods. Plus they are lighter too boot!

Yes they absolutely work. I can notice a definite decrease in noise when I install one. I install mine so it just does touch the cable slide when the bow is at rest. This way it stops the slide and absorbes the vibration in the rod and the slide at the same time.

How much did you turn up your poundage? It shouldn't have been that much more noticeable unless you're really pushing the limit on arrow weight.
