RE: processing own meat

I do all my deer. It's a lot of work for one person(sometimes the g/f helps with the packing) but I am cheap and I've got it down much quicker now than I used to.

I DONT PROCESS.....I JUST CUT IT UP........MAKE SURE THE MEATS CLOSE TO FROZEN....MUCH EASIER TO WORK WITH

IF THAT MEANS PUTTING IT IN FRIDGE, FREEZER,, GET R DONE

I've been doing my own steaks and roasts for years and starting this year, I will be doing the burger grinding myself also.
The local processor I've been using for burger, now says he needs to have the whole deer, hide on.Being that I hunt in Wis., I can't bring a whole deer back to S.C.
I just received my 1 hp grinder from Cabelas and it's huge! May be overkill.
