types of calls to use
#2
In this early season I stay quiet and just observe what is goingon around me in the deer world. While hunting how many times have you actually heard a deer get vocal? If you watch them close you will see when calling will do some good. Good luck.

I would grunt to stop a buck if need be,and I would grunt to a buck that was out of range and not headed my way.If you are not already aware of this you don't call to an animal that is naturally moving in the direction you want tham to go,only if they start to head in another direction. From a volume perspective you would also work your way up the volume ladder.Soft is usually the way to go.
