Default Broadheads vs. Mechanicals

Im thinking of switching to mechanicals next season, and was just wondering if I could get some input on pros and cons.

Mechanicals are broadheads. Sorry, I could not resist.

If you have the proper setup and your bow is tuned then expandables can be a viable alternative.

I switched from muzzy to rocket steelheads about 3yrs ago just because I had never tried mechanicals and wanted to give em a try. I recomend these tuff little buggers to anybody that wants to try mechanicals. I've taken a nice buck the last three yrs, along with several does. got a passthrough on all.Give em a try, I think you'll like em.

Make sure that they are legal to hunt whatever and wherever you are hunting. They are illegal to use on big game in Idaho. Also, so some research on the mechanical broadheads themselves and find out at what poundage they open up. That could be critical for your bow. Good luck.
