This year I was considering mechanical heads because I hate to practice most of the year with field points and then having to switch over and resighting in for broadheads. My son and I put on Muzzy125s and I swear they shot exactly like our field points (Out to 25 yards. We didn't try them passed that)! I was truly amazed. Neither one of us had to make any adjustments! Maybe it helps that we shoot fairly slow arrows 216-220 FPS?
For those of you who shoot Muzzys do you have similar results?

The only changes I usually had to make was to lower my nock point ever so slightly, but this was common with most fixed blade broadheads in my setup. I've hunted with Muzzy's for many years and have always been happy with their flight.

My Muzzy 100gr. 3-blades fly with my field points out to 30yds. I haven't tried them past that distance. I just booked an elk hunt for next year so I will have to start practicing at longer distances. I hope they fly as well at 40-50yds.

I went back to Muzzy 100 grain 3 blades last year after 3 years of using mechanicals. I never had to adjust anything and they flew dead on. Last week I put one on to check it out since I'm using a different arrow this year and it was the same. Dead nuts on. I won't go back to mechanicals.

Muzzy 100 gr 3 and 4 blades, fly almost like field points out to 35 yards on the ground. On an 18' elevated platform, however, they hit slightly lower ie about 1" at 25 yards and up to about 2" at 35 yards. I use them exclusively, but I would highly recommend that you shoot from a platform that approximates your treestand before taking them out to hunt just to be sure how they perform in your setup if you anticipate anything outside 25 yards.

If there is any difference in the field points and the Muzzy bh, I can't tell it. My opinion is to stay away from the mechanical bh's. I've tried several mechanicals with poor to great results on game. But, with theMuzzy's I've had excellent results each time. Unless I blew the shot. The Muzzy 3 and 4 blade 100 grain shoot just like the field points. And unlike mechanicals, the Muzzy holds up. I have shot a muzzy through a steel barrel and thetip was not hurt at all, and the blades weren't either. The blades were still shaving sharp!!!!!!I bet no mechanical can do that well. Good huntin, Scott Woody
