i would actually let anything less than a 6 walk on private land, on public land, well it's going to be taken if i dont take it, so i'd probably decide to take anything bigger than a spike.

Unless you have a sizeable chunk of ground, the young bucks you see on your place will be run out and driven off by the mature. IN THEORY.... you should be getting bucks move in from other ranges. MOST of the little deer you let go... go somewhere else. For the QDM to work you have to have the neighbors and all around you on the same sheet of music. If that's not possible... you decide what makes you happy and that's what you shoot. The guys that slay me are the ones that preach QDM on TV and then when they get to the last day, they grab a gun or shoot something lesser. Set YOUR requirements to make you happy and go hunting. The neighbors may very well be tickled pink and enjoying the heck out of hunting shooting a bunch of smaller bucks. That's their deal... you have your own.

harvest the deer you think are right to harvest and be happy with it..but dont forget a story and some pics..
