Default Boys will be boys.

So a few weeks ago I remembered to take the video camera with me when I went out for an evening hunt. Late into the evening, about 30 minutes before dark, three yearling bucks show up and decide to play 60 yards from me.

The pictures look bad because I had to take pictures of the video on my camera. You can see well enough though.

Two were 2x2's and one was a 1x2, none legal. They all passed within 5 yards of my tree on the way to the spot you see in the photos.

Give them a few years and they'll be there pushing each other around as 8 and 10 pointers.

it's always great to see animals acting as if no body was watching. Thanks for sharing WH.

DWD, i agree. I love to see pics when there behavior is unaltered by human presence.

Great pics. I think it is incredible that you were able to get the video and transfer it to still shots. Nice job.

It was definitely a very cool thing to experience, even if they were such small bucks. I had seen each of them before, never together like this though. They fed about 10 yards from me for awhile, then walked under my tree to a clearing behind me and started rough housing. It was awesome!
