ANOTHER STORY FROM THE DEER WOODS
Well here I go again. About 2 years ago I baught my best friend a bow for a gift. After a training and practice period we were off to the woods. Now I grant you we were not in very high hopes of getting a shot at a deer but I hoped that my buddy might get a shot at a hog or a varmint. Well we took my 4x4 down an old log road and parked. We made a short round in a strip of woods the loggers left. I planned we would make a short circle in the woods and get back to my truck. Well we were walking along when heard somthing russlin leaves my buddy got ready and out popped an armadello or deller as we call em. I told him dont shoot you will just ruin an arrow. I turned to look around when I heard the thumo of a string the sound of an arrow on a deller shell then an odd metalic sound. well the arrow deflected off the deller cause of the angle. We looked around a bit more then went back to the truck. Upon arrival I discovered white 4 inch vaines sticking out of my grill that aint the worst of it. those vains were attached to a 30 inch 2117 that was all the way through the radiator, oil cooler, and a/c coils of my truck.Well the long walk back to civilization gave me ample time to express my displeasure in his shot. But i guess he is the only guy I know who took out an F250 4x4 with one shot from a bow .The irony is that when we got back to the truck that deller was still there rooting around . go figure

RE: ANOTHER STORY FROM THE DEER WOODS
We had been hunting in a circle . The truck was about 40 or 50 yrds away . This was another reason I told him not to shoot. i know how tough a dellers shell is and it dont take much to deflect an arrow . but he has learned a lot since then. porticularly that when I say dont shoot I have a reason.

Built Ford tough.
So a armadello shell is tougher than a Ford truck?
You might as well tell him to stop hunting now. From
here on out all he will probably ever get is little Rangers
and S-10's....
Hope it didn't cost to much to get it fixed.
