Default Missed.....

I missed the biggest buck ive ever seen this afternoon. He was so close that i could count his eleven points.. i missed the deer at 15 yards.. yes i know please dont laugh. I was just wondering what yall think my chances are at getting another shot on this big buck. This is the second day that i have seen the monster but i couldnt get a shot yesterday. So, what do u think my chances are of getting another shot? Thanks guys,
KBO

Maybe some practice could do you some good. I shoot nearly everyday....if it's not raining. Even if it's only 3 to 10 shots.

Did you miss high or low? Was it deflected? Tell us more.....

Well it all depends on how much he was spooked and if the arrow spooked him or he actually saw YOU. If he actually saw you, I would move my stand some as he may avoid that particular site.

And, I know exactly the reason that you missed. If you were looking at his rack long and close enough to know he had 11 points, then you weren't concentrating on your shot and shot placement enough! You let the size of his rack eat you up. Not being smart, speaking from experience

Them racks will make more nearvous that you have ever been.... Just focus on nothing but the antlers. Try this... I think they did it on dream season.... Sprint a little bit them try shooting. Your adrineline will be rushing just like you would be out hunting

Sorry to hear about the miss but it happens to all of us at one time or another. I think you might get another crack at him but not immediately and not in the same location.

It's ok. You'll get another chance at him later this season. I have faith in you!

Like MNpurple said if he saw you then no chance will you get another crack at him in that stand.I would change locations if he saw you.If you were able to keep from being seen then you will see him again robably tomorrow.Did you pattern this buck?If you did then he should still be on his feeding pattern and like we said if he didnt see you or wind you then he will be there again in the same old routine until the pre rut begins.
If there is any possibiltiy that he saw I would chnage my stand location to another route that he travels. If this was between his bedding and feeding area then find the next shortest route between the 2 and hang it there.

Nothin' worse than the feeling of missing a wall hanger [&:]. Keep your chin up and learn from your mistakes. Focus on the exit hole and slow your breathing. You'll get him.

I know the feeling well. I would move the stand and try again. Running while practicing is a good idea as well. Just learn from it and you will be much more successful next time.
