I was shooting tonight at about 25yds and I split my first arrow. I've grazed other arrows several times shooting 2 and 3 inch groups but never split one before. Here are a couple pics. The arrow embeded itself 10" into the other one.

I was told that there was an episode on MythBusters a couple weeks ago where they "Busted" the Robin Hood myth.
I didn't see the episode but I was told they built "robots" to shoot and couldn't do it and then brought in some "professional archers" and they couldn't do it either so the deemed the myth busted.

That's why it was busted.

Ok, I didn't see the episode and that part wasn't explained to me. I kinda figured there had to be something like that. I'm sure lots of people on this DB has split an arrow like that.
I showed my pics to couple long time hunters at work and they were fairly impressed.

They were only talking about wooden arrows. You see the grain of the wood prohibits the second arrow from splitting the first arrow in two because the wood grain does not go in a straight pattern. So while it was possible for Robin Hood to hit an arrow right on it's nock, it's highly doubtfull it split the arrow in two.

How many of these will it take to convince some of these guys that these victorys are great bows?
