GUTS DONT BOTHER DEER . Why I dont know. But I killed a doe gutted her where she was. I opened the stomach to see what she was feeding on and she was full of corn. Well I went back to pick up the guts from my stand just to keep coy dogs away and there was a buck eating corn out of the guts I couldnt believe it . But it is true I shot him there eating gut corn . With rifle. A pretty big 5 pointer.

Bamahuntin, it just makes carrying them out a lot easier. Tie the bag around an antler and drag away(I use plastic grocery bags). I have tried leaving them in the cleaned out carcass and they always drop out. I know heart/liver is not everyones favorite, but I love it.

I've seen geese eat corn right out of cow dung, but a deer eating corn out of another deer's guts is amazing, I guess maybe they just don't associate a gut pile with what it really represents, a fellow deers last steps.

I gut them were they fall (maybe move them a little so that the body is on an incline)
THe animals love the innards...I see Chickadees eating the fat from the gut pile for days.
Just remember to PICK UP YOUR latex gloves, papertowels, etc. Don't leave those in the woods.
