Slinger, my season opened the10th, I hunted the same stand the 10th, 11th and on the 12th at about 1130 am two fat does with a yearling and a 4ptr came out of the thicket 35 yards behind my stand to my left, they stopped to graze at about the same distance directly behind my stand, THEY WERE DOWN WIND FROM ME!!! I expected the deer to be coming from a different direction, obviously, my point is...they grazed right down wind from me for about 30 minutes with about a 7MPH breeze at my face(checked the weather report after).....what was I using?

1 GAL DISTILLED WATER
16 OZ 3% PEROXIDE (WALL MART)
8 OZ BOX OF BAKING SODA (A&H)
2 SHOT GLASSES OF HS BODY/SHAMPOO SOAP (GREEN STUFF)

I could not believe it, I only tried the mix cause I read it on the internet and it was cheap, about $10 for a GAL to get all the ingredients! Except the HS soap I had that already.
I was wearing regular Mossy Oak cammo, with no scent lock washed in HS laundry soap, I bathed with the same soap (HS) and put on scent free BAN roll-on deodorant (WALL MART) under my armpits.....and yes I rubbed a little on my NADS! I sprayedmy clothes with this stuff from the inside and out around my arm pits and crotch, I sprayed my hands, boots and hat, tree stand even rubbed some on my head. I will never buy 6OZ of scent killer for $5.99 again!!!!!!
Hope this helps! BO

I use most of the Wildlife Research Center products and am entirely pleased with them...shampoo, bar soap, detergent, etc...

I agree that this stuff works "the nuts". I'll be using it for my fourth season this year and the experiences I've had since then convince me that it's worth the little bit of hassle to brew it up - and cheap.

One little tip I didn't see above is to buy a 99 cent spray bottle in the housewares section of Walmart. Take the sprayer off the bottle and it will fit onto a 32oz peroxide bottle. You need to store this recipe in a dark bottle or the peroxide will turn to water (that's why they sell peroxide in those dark bottles in the first place).

MF44 is right about the dark spray bottle for the stuff your are taking to the field...i keep my galon with the remaining stuff in the back of a closet where it's dark.

I wanted to bump this back up.I've found this scent killer to be one of the best and cheapest!
Don't waste your money on all the other scent killers!Baking soda, peroxide and HS body soap works great!
