Kind of a sad story. So I have been scoping out this monster 14 pointer. I saw him in the field down the road from my house for about a month eating corn and apples getting nice and fat. The other day I was driving to work in the morning, there he was dead on the side of theroad with a missing rack.I had already cleared a spot on the wall from him. What a shame.

Was he hit? Or did some moron kill him and chunk him out on the road? You can always hope it wasn't the one.

He was hit. You could see his hindquarter was all boogered up. And I know it was him. Ive been spotting all summer and there wasnt a deer that big in that area all year. Ive seem them close to the road so im sure he was playing frogger and lost. There goes my opening day plans.

Man that really stinks, well hopefull he has passed on his genes in the area and maybe one of his brothers or father is running around somewhere.

Sorry to hear that. It is really sad when situations like that happen. We all spend so much time and effort scouting and putting together plans for hunting specific animals...and to have it all for not.
