I'm with whackmaster on this also. Just be sure the deer is not looking right at you. I have a rain canopy with a skirt around it, this also makes a big differance.
The best of luck in all your hunting endeavors!!!

As you have already been told this board is a wealth of information. I really appreciate all of your input, and look forward to trying it out Friday. Thanks again and good hunting to all of you.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I been at it for 25 years and don't have it figured out yet. Every situation is different but, for the most part, draw when they aren't looking, got their head turned, head behind a tree or bush, or are moving. I try to draw just before they get into a shooting lane but it doesn't always work that way. I've even drawn on some that were looking right at me. How I got away with those is still a mystery to me.
If you can see their eye(s), they can see you. Select a stand site with adequate cover. Try to move as smoothly and slowly as possible.

I think cyclone nailed it, stand placement is critical here. Have plenty of cover, even it they bust you on the draw if you stay still (hard to do at full draw) alot of times they will continue on their way
