RE: Silencing a bow

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Limb Savers. They are in my opinion one of the best $10 gadgets ever. As others have said, leeches are no better than cat whiskers at quieting a bow. In fact, I think cat whiskers are a little better at quieting things but they do steal a little speed, but not enough to worry about. The second best thing is heavy arrow. If you're shooting with a one piece quiver take it off to shoot. If you're one of those guys that just has to have a quiver on when you shoot, go to a two piece. Make absolutely sure everything is snug on your bow. I remember someone on these boards pulling his hair out for a month trying to find a noise. It ended up being the vibration of the spring on the Kwickee Kwiver bracket. Again, heavy arrow, top of the shooting range, limb savers and it'll change your world.
