What do you hear when you shoot???

My bow has a definate twang but I don't worry about it. By the time the deer hear me shoot it's too late anyway. My shots are rarely over 15 yards and they don't have time to jump the string. I don't use any sound dampening devices on my bow or string..

Josh, put you a peice of fleece under it,and that will help with that thunk.

I would have to say that 99% my patty is almost silent. The only time I notice it making any noise is when my stabilizer rattles loose after a couple hundred shots. I need to go and buy a bottle of lock-tite to clear that problem up.
Come to think of it I had a couple of the spider looking things on my string break off (hush kit) and the bow got a touch louder, I relplaced them with cat whiskers and its back to quiet.

I was getting a noise that I finally pin-pointed. My string and buss cable were touching each other, right above the cable-slide, where they cross. I installed a new slide (white teflon) and the noise went away. It took me a while to figure it out, but I used the method that "hunttones" uses. Hold the bow firmly by the handle and then bump the edges of my limbs with the heel of my other hand. It will tell you pretty quick if anything is loose.
