RE: What color fletch do you use?

I'm using solid white RW hen feathers and a barred right RW cock feather from Gateway. I like having to solid hen feathers and a barred cock feather, which is why I'm using Gateway. They seem to be the only company that can set me up that way. I'm thinking about switching to orange or charteuse if they're brighter than white. I was out stumping and could see my flourscent green AAE nock fly a lot better than I could a solid white bohning nock. I could also see thema lot better when they were on the ground. I lost a arrow about a year ago when I missed the target. (I was shooting in my grandpa's backyard and it went into the woods behind his fence.) I couldn't find it then, but a while later I found it because of the bright green nock. I wasn't even looking for the arrow either. That's the effect I want. So if I can get some bright green, or bright orange fletching, I think I might switch. However, I hesitate because with white fletching it'll be easier to study blood. Any ideas?

God bless,
Brandan

Two setups, on one, 2 white and 1 yellow...

The other 2 flourescent yellow and 1 flourescent orange.

I think it's very important to see your arrow in flight and easy to spot in game animals to verify the shot....IF you can't see your arrow in flight, your missing some very important information to follow up on after the shot. I've never been busted because of bright fletch. The white also allows you to pick up on blood easier from the treestand, especially with bino's. Again, this falls back to the post, "after the shot".

I use two green and one gold. I like the Green Bay Packers, and like to take their colors to the field with me.

A bad day of hunting beats a good day of work!
