Default new video series= climax of the hunt

I saw a comercial for this new series and all it is is the kill shots, I watched there little sample and it was distubing to me. To buy an hour long video of nothing but kill shots I think something isnt right with it it to want to watch nothing but the animals dying it almost makes me mad, could be me but thats not true outdoorsman or good sportsmanship. look at it and tell me what you think I dont want to give the site but if you look at the subject line you should figure it out.

no one has an opinion on this, come on!
this is a quote from there site
These tapes feature nothing but the final seconds of dozens of big game and small game hunts where the success is judged by the shot.

Kill shots are played at regular speed and then slowed down to an ultra slow speed so the viewers receive maximum stimulation.

This videotape series is a must for every hunter and every hunting camp.

I think I have seen those commercials too. I don't know if it would disturb
me or not. However I like seeing all of the things that lead up to the shot such
as scouting or a least a little footage of the deer before the shot. If it is just
shot after shot that would not bevery interesting. Just my thoughts

I haven't seen what your talking about but it sounds like some three tooth billy's trying to make a buck. I agree with you that watching kills over and over and in slow motion sounds morbid. [:@]

I watched their sample video. What a joke! These guys were shooting at animals, with other animals directly behind them. Yeh, thats ethical. These are the types of things that give hunters a black eye. It makes it look like we are just a bunch of blood thirsty idiots out their.

My feelings exactly. Alot of folks bash some of the Buckmaster videos but the one I have on hand is better than alot of what I see nowadays. They show more than just 3 bucks walking by the stand with the third being the shooter...then the shot of the guy standing next to the deer. I want to see some scouting info and some of the does and other small bucks prior to the actual kill. It makes it much more realistic and enjoyable in my opinion.

There's your problem right there.

More examples of people losing sight of what hunting is all about. It is not the kill, although it is involved because we aren't taking pictures! It's not how big or how many! It's about all that is involved in hunting! The scouting, the woodsmanship, the skills, the camraderie, the outdoor experience, etc., etc.,. To hone in on the moment of impact is disgusting as if that's what it is all that matters! It's the same mindset that takes male , female relationships and classifies them as portrayed in Girls Gone Wild or worse. Who is it on here who says, 'horn porn'?

That would be Datamax, or Stealthycat, or Arnoldshortsinvader, or ...... The list goes on.... Regardless of what name he goes by, it was a great term that he coined and he was exactly right, HORN PORN>>>>

I was hoping someone would post about this. If you think thecommercial is disturbing, you should watch the video. A friend of mine bought them and it is the worst crap I've ever seen. There are more unethical and poorly placed shots on this video than I thought were possible. They shoota pronghorn that is hung up in a barbed wire fence. Then theyshoot a big whitetail with a high fence in clear view, not 10 yards behind the deer. There are several of the shots, where they drop the animal, and it lays on the ground kicking and flopping for much longer than I care to watch. These particular shots were well placed, and I want to see the animals reaction, but I don't want to see it convulsing and gurgling blood for a full minute. That's just sick. There are too many gutshots and backbone shots to count. There's also a mule deer shot with a crossbow high in theneck. As the deer runs off, they slow the video down so you can clearly see the bolt and the blood gushing out of his throat. This is just the crap that I remember. It's been over 6 months since I've seen it. I find most hunting shows and videos very boring, and I wish the hosts would just shut up and hunt. I would like to see them speed it up a little, but this is just taking it too far. Tasteless doesn't even describe it. By the way, for those of you who haven't seen the promo, it's being pushed by Keith Warren. He says they are "the best hunting videos he's ever seen." It's one of the many reasons that I hate him.[:@]
