TRED BARTA
How many of you guys know who tred barta is and if you do. Doyou watch his show. I think his show is great he does things the hardest way.He uses a long bow wich almost no one usesin todays worldof hightech compounds. He doesnt always kill something but just watching how he hunts is enoff. Unlike all other hunting shows that hunt just deer and turkeys, sure that is good. But we all have hunted deer and turkey. His show always hunts something different, the next show is him killing a wild boar with a knife that issomething u dont always see on hunting shows.

Lx,
If you do a search you will see other topics about him. I think he is one of the most entertaining people on tv personally. |
RE: TRED BARTA
He was stabbing pigs smaller than the dogs.

I do not like him or his approach to hunting.

RE: TRED BARTA
I like his fishingshows....a little bit.. I think he "billies" fish for some kind of effect. I've caught many a tuna, wahoo, etc... and we swing the fish right onto the ice every time. No stop off for a beating on the head.

RE: TRED BARTA
Ditto psebwhntr16 the first pig the guild held for him while he stabbed it
|
RE: TRED BARTA
I think he is a joke, watched it for the first time tonight and wont ever watch it again. He was hunting boar, his dogs found the damn thing, his buddy held it still and he stabbed it a few times.
|
RE: TRED BARTA
I like the guy, yeah the first pig was held by the guide, but after that he was on his own with the dogs and the pig. It takes alot of guts to do something like that, not sureI could do it. He certianly takes his hunting from a different approach, it is definitenly entertaning!

RE: TRED BARTA
Hes brash/annoying and I would probably throw him overboard if he talked to me the way he does his crew, but it's refreshing to watch a show that isn't cookie cutter perfect and not afraid to show you his failure's. I'm impressed by his tenacity, it took him 10 yrs to kill a grizzly with his bow but he never gave up ! I'm also impressed by his willingness to attempt almost anything, he's got ball's !

RE: TRED BARTA
Yea that hog stabbing looked like alot of work. His show is different that's for sure.
|
RE: TRED BARTA
I like him and the show, but the "stab the pig with a knife epidode" was not my favorite.
|
RE: TRED BARTA
I havn't seen the show,I will make an effort to.I can't imagine that stabbing a pig with a knife is something I would want to see! I would question the mental state of anyone who would want to do that. The more I think about it the more sick it seems to me!A bunch of years ago there was a guy who was promoting video's of bears being killed with spears.I never understood that either. If you can't kill the animal quickly and humanely it shouldn't be done!

"If you can't kill the animal quickly and humanely it shouldn't be done! "
When he killed the pig it would killed just as fast as a shot in the heart with a arrow would of and you probalbly dont think its inhumane to kill a animal with a bow. |
RE: TRED BARTA
I'm just not a fan of "over the top...in your face" hunting. Too me, Machoism is NOT what hunting is about. I wonder how he'd do if someone were shooting back at him. Those piggies were not what I'd call your typical wild eyed free ranging piggies. I think they were pen raised and released for the hunt. Did you see him as he pulled into the ranch with his truck..... towing a livestock trailer no less.[&:][&:] The pigs were too fat and too slow to be anything BUT farm raised critters. And that first one, the guy stood there beside the thing holding him by the hair on his back like he was grabbing a small sack of feed to pick up. The pig just stood there and allowed it to happen.

RE: TRED BARTA
I have mixed feelings about him. I like how he does everything the hard way but I feel that his actions could become ammo for anti's and /or PETA. I never miss one of his shows but I do not agree with some of the shots he has takin with a long bow. But the world is full of all different people so he is just different in his own way.

RE: TRED BARTA
Sorry,
Can't stand him. Way too full of himself. |
RE: TRED BARTA
What I don't understand is why someone would want to do that!To me it is barbaric!I have killed plenty of deer with both bow and rifle, and turkey's and woodchucks, and coyote's.Even nuisance animals and predators deserve some dignity when their lives are taken! To me that is someone who enjoy's the killing way to much!
In a future show maybe he should kill something by strangling it and then eat it raw for his viewing audience. |
RE: TRED BARTA
never mind his show dont you love his rockin theme song:D YADDA YADDA YADDA - BARTA-- YOUR THE MAN----. [&:]

RE: TRED BARTA
He is anoying as Heck and I don't like his approach. But he does stand for hunting and goes about it his own way ( which is not my way) I hate his attitude and would never share a hunting camp with him or if we were on the same boat he WOULD be going over board. He is just too over the top for me.
