Default RE: stabilizers????

Most folks generally shoot more accurately with a good stabilizer installed on their bow. Stabilizers were originally created to aid in balance an aiming so it just makes sense that they can help you shoot better. As for choosing one, there are a variety of good ones on the market now. The key is to recognizing that you need to find one that will not only dampen noise and vibration but that will also correctly balance your bow before and during the shot. With the exception of some radically reflexed risers I generally find that stabilizers of 6 inches and under tend to suit me quite well for hunting purposes....especially on the shorter bows (under 34 inches) that I shoot. Weight also needs to be considered though and, with that, you are going to have to actually feel what seems best for you. My personaly favorites are various combinations of the Sims models currently on the market...Sims modular, Enhancer 2000, S-coil, etc....

Hope this helps some.

Excellent advise above. Don't just throw a dead weight on the front of your bow. Choose one that balances out your setup and compliments the appearance but more importantly, choose one that will aid in dampening vibration and noise..otherwise your waisting your money.
