2 deer, one right after another?
#21
This has happened to my buddy the last two years on opening day. A bunch of does come in, he shoots one, and she drops within sight. Then the others don't know what's going on so they keep feeding and he grabs another arrow and drops another one. 4 deer in the first couple hours of the 2001 and 2002 seasons. It's a good thing he's got a big freezer in his basement.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

By all means Taz, since you know the first one is down with a good shot, go ahead and take the second one as well..around here if you get the chance to fill your tags, you take it..<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

HuntingBry,
That's pretty good! What state was that in? I see you are in PA and some folks in the chat room said in PA you can kill more than one, but you have to tag it 1st and then shoot the second one. What is the rule? Thanks....

From my understanding of the rules in TN, you have to go and check the first one before you get the second tag, then you would have to go back and tag the second one and haul it up to the check station. Legal, but a pain to go back and forth. May not be that way in VA.

jetblast in Va. they do not spell out that you must tag the first before the second kill.
I calculated how many deer you could legally kill in Va. hunting all three normal seasons, 3 buck and over 100 doe.

Taz...it's not 2 per day for everyone. Most places I hunt, we're only allowed one per day.
I guess I'll just have to be happy with half as many as you guys <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
