For 3D, I use 4 pins, for hunting I will use 3 pins

I'm using 0 pins. They really do get in the way especially for hunting.

One Pin= no chance for confusion. I have hunted with 3 then 2 and now one. I know it is different in other areas, but where I am I do not have a need to shoot out past 30 yds, so I have it sighted in at 20 or a little more or lessdepending on the set up and you can cover up to that 20yd mark within the kill zone quite easily.

IMO it is what you feel comfortable with and until you experiment you will not know what fits you and your set up.

1 pin. HHA adjustable with lines for 20, 30, 40, 50, 60. I have the trees at my spot painted with numbers on them for yarfage. When a deer comes to feed, I see the tree next to him and adjust if I have to.

1-pin sighted in dead on at 25 yds.
1-pin sighted in dead on at 40yds.

3 pins, a 10, 20, and 30 yard pin.

I have one pin.. Adjustment in the back.. but im zero to 30 with one pin

1 pin- I have the Cosmic Ring and I like it a lot, it has plenty of brightness during low light conditions and no mistakes for using the wrong pin

Three pins: 20, 30,40yds

1 pin.0-35yds.It is very thick down here.And at 40yds there's too much that can happen.Just my opinion.
