Default The First time I have ever done this!!!!

I know this probably isnt that big of a deal, but this is the first time I have ever done this.

I "Robin Hooded" this arrow at about thirty five yards. I had been shooting at separate targets, but I decided I wanted to see what size groups I could get at that yardage. I shot one group tht was about 4 " in diameter. I decided I could do better than that so I decided to shoot another one. I shot the first arrow, hit right where I was aiming. Then I shot the second one and the result was this:

I was kinda happy, and really p*ssed at the same time. I guess I am pretty consistent, but at $9 a pop, that two arrows down the drain. Oh well, the really sad part is I had just finished cresting and fletching these arrows. [:@]

No more shooting at the same target each shot for me!

Nice job!

FYI only the robin hooded arrow is messed up the robin hooder should be just fine. But then you wouldn't have the cool "set". Eighteen bucks every so often isn't all that bad when it happens like this now is it?

The robin hooder is fine. Like you said, I don't want to take them apart.

I too just did the same at 30yrd's .Made a change in my fletching configureation and shot 5 spots at 20 and they all hit there mark perfictly,so then try and see how well they would group at 30. First shot dead on,second shot dead on the first dead on [:@].Needles to say i didn't need to check for a 30 yrd group. I felt the same as you, though this is not my first hood but my first at 30.
Well i can't resize the pic to show , to fit the forum so i'll have to work on that trick

Congrats on the R-hood!

BTW, you may want to place that somewhere up high so it doesn't get handled by any visitors wanting to admire your skills. Those carbon slithers will find there way under some skin pronto- don't ask how I know this [:-].

Well, we found something else out. Apparently the spray cresting makes them fly better too!!

Nice job. Savor it, it doesn't happen often. Great shot!
