Cell Phone
If your cell phoneringercould sound like any game animal or bird, what would it be?
|
RE: Cell Phone
Mine would probobly a Tom Gobbling or a Hen Calling. A buck grunt might sound too much like a fart coming out of a phone lol. An Elk Bugle might be hard to identify out of a phone too. My old sprint phone had a loon, that was cool.

RE: Cell Phone
Snort Wheeze

RE: Cell Phone
I'm thinking this guy is trolling for ideas to try to sell you to dowload to your cell phones. Just a guess.......[:'(]
|
RE: Cell Phone
Yes, this is a poll type question. But as you can see there are no links or advertisements. This information is being gathered to offer a product just for hunters. So it wouldn't make much since to ask the question at the makeup counter at Walmart.
Do you know why rifle hunters don't hunt from tree stands as much as we do? - - - - -- - - - - Can't get the Pickup door up the tree. |

ORIGINAL: Super 91 I'm thinking this guy is trolling for ideas to try to sell you to dowload to your cell phones. Just a guess.......[:'(] He's got a good idea that will appeal to a lot of hunters out there. He isn't advertising a product that's already out there. He isn't asking us to buy his product. Market research. Personally it's not something I would pay money for. My cell phone is always on vibrate because I hate it when other people's phones go off and I think it's mine. It's a good idea though, I would pursue it if I were you. |
RE: Cell Phone
I would like either a Gobble or some hen speak like putt putt cluck
Or even better would be a coyote howl. I turn my cell OFF when I am hunting. I had my cell on vibrate and a doe heard it at 20 yds. Johnch |
RE: Cell Phone
a fish;)

RE: Cell Phone
I don't own a cell phone so it doesn't matter to me. If I did I wouldn't mess different ring tones. I would prefer it to sound like a phone myself. I actually prefere vibrate for phones or pagers.
Oh, and I hunt with a rifle as well. I don't have any trouble hunting from a stand or blind because I don't shoot from a truck. I don't even own one to be honest. Are insinuating that all rifle hunters are poachers? Becuase I assure you that is not the case. Not every one that rifle hunts is a redneck hillbilly that doesn't know what he is doing. I know it was a joke but it was a pretty poor one and not very professional if you are here doing market research for a product. I bet lots of people would be interested in that though. I have a buddy that would pobably love the gobble one. Paul |
RE: Cell Phone
I'd go for the snort-wheeze, it would scare people. Right now mine actually rings like a phone should. I always know its mine.
|
RE: Cell Phone
I would pick a loon, I think they make the coolest sound I have ever heard.

Coyote howl or yipes

RE: Cell Phone
Ive got a couple buddies who already have wildllife ringtones, one has a gobbling turkey, and its pretty neat, even sound pretty good, but not very loud. The other has the elk bugle, but it sounds terrible, like the phone cant produce the right sounds, but it is neat, I personally like the idea of the coyote howl, or the snort wheeze. A buck grunt would sound like a fart coming from your pocket, but I would have a good time with that too, you would realy get some looks when people call you..

RE: Cell Phone
I have different ring tones for different calls...wife, mother in law, etc. (mother in law has Ozzy's 'Crazy Train' for an example :))
there are a few I could think of...Bull elk bugle, coyote howl would be cool... Ken B |

I have a buddy that would pobably love the gobble one. Paul Please accept my apology as no offense was intended. I have been conducting and monitoring this poll on quite a few forums. Here is a list starting with the most requested sounds first: Elk Bugle, Turkey Gobble, Snort Wheeze, Coyote, Loon, Mountain Lion, Pheasant, Moose, Goose, Buck Grunt, Wolf Howl, Hen Turkey followed by Gobble, Hawk Cry, Barred Owl, Duck, Quail, Rattle Snake, Turkey Putt, and Hound Dog. A few others for consideration are: Dove, Buffalo, Grizzly, Black Bear, Squirrel, Crow, and Whippoorwill (heard from the stand) I am looking for a list of 24 exclusive Hunting Ringtones and may add more later. No Rap, and no kittens or puppies. This is just for us. Thanks for your input! |

Its not a game animal or bird, but I think the rattle from a rattle snake would sound cool.

Are they in season now Kev

RE: Cell Phone
I already make my own cell phone rings using buck snorts and turkey sounds - I have a recorder on my phone that records very accurate sound and replays very lifelike. I also use my motorcycle reving for incoming text messages.
I'd probably download other sounds if the quality was good - but otherwise I'll stick to making my own. |

I already have crickets and frogs on mine. Its sounds pretty real, too. The other morning when I was asleep, a friend called and it woke me up, but I didn't think anything of it, I just thought it was the outside, even though the windows are up and the air is on. [&:]I finally woke up again about 2 hours later and seen I had a missed call.

RE: Cell Phone
Thanks for your input on this subject of Wild Game Ringtones for your cell phone. Although we won't have any calls for the Split Tailed Lounge Doe (if I knew the secret to this one I probably wouldn't share anyway), we do have a pretty good list. Some have now been released and others are on their way. Here is the list:
Bull Elk Bugle Cow Elk Call with Bugle Turkey Gobble Hen Cutting with Gobble Yelp with Gobble Wild Hog Buck Fight Esterus Bleet with Snort Wheeze Mallard Feeding Widgeon Teal Common Loon Canadian Goose Sandhill Crane Whippoorwill Cougar Quail Pheasant American Buffalo Barred Owl Black Bear Grizzly Coyote Crow Rattler Squirrel Moose Redtail Hawk Rabbit in Distress We have created what we believe to be good representations for all of these animals. Some are from calls in order to get the tone where you can hear it.We have to narrow this list to 24 for now. Are there any others you can think of for possible ringtones? I've looked at Caribou and Big Horn Sheep but they are very silent animals. |
RE: Cell Phone
THWAAAACKK (sound of an arrow hitting that big buck) and then the sound of hooves in the leaves. If you use my idea, I fully expect to earn 50% royalty. This post is my proof of invention. The use of either part or all or any combination shall still constitute use of my invention and be payable at 50% royalty. Thank you for your business!

I change my vote to "arrow hitting a big buck, hooves in the leaves" but with the buck walking towards me in the leaves first - my favorite sound!!!

RE: Cell Phone
The frist 12 hunttones have been released and they are: Bob White Quail, Bull Elk Bugle, Cow call with Bugle, Buck Fight, Canadian Goose, Mallard, Turkey Gobble, Cougar, White Wing Dove, Pheasant, Gobble, and Wild Hog.
By the end of next week there will be 14 more hunttones released based on feedback from this forum. The new tones are: Barred Owl, Buck Tending Grunt, Esterus Bleet with Snort Wheeze, Coyote, Crow, Feeding Turkeys, Grizzly, Loon, Moose, Rattle Snake, Pheasant Flush (replaces current pheasant),Yelp Gobble, Whippoorwill, and a special one called Duck Pond (when released correctly guess the 9 waterfowl sounds in the Duck Pond, send them via the request a tone link and win a Free Hunttone of your choice). All new tones are the real thing. No calls were used to make them per your request. We currently can only support certain phones and carriers. Nextel Verizon and Alltel are currently not supported but Verizon will be added in the next few weeks. Nextel and Alltel have private networks and do not allow access, Sorry. Text Messaging and Web Access is required. As always keep sending us requests for new hunttones. These ringtones are for hunters!!All Wild Game we hunt and the sounds we hear in the field that remind us of the hunt will be considered and added if at all possible. If you want a really good reaction, take your loved one(s) out to eat and kick off the Wild Hog just as they start eating. It;s pretty funny and I am hoping to be allowed to sleep in the house again in the near future? I heard a guy on a non-related hunting show say "If its got legs and/or wings, is slower than me, and tastes reasonably good,Pass The Salt"! I couldn't have put it any better. |
