Both open as it gives me a better view of the target.

I am left eye dominant and shoot right handed. There is no way I can keep both eyes open and still hit the target.

I shoot both eyes open also. I seem to be able to concentrate on my target more and hold more still.

I am left eye dominant and shoot lefty.I have tried to with both eyes open a few times, and believe me, the results were not pretty! Thank God I was out away from people, houses, etc... the last time I tried it! I think I shot about 4 feet wide right and have no idea where that arrow ended up!

I end up seeing either two sets of sight pins, or two targets. No matter what I do. That is justthe way it is... I don't know, maybe I'm brain damaged!

I shoot with both eyes open. You can pick up the target faster that way. If you find that the target is getting blurry, that is usually an indication that you are holding your breath. If your eyes are deprived of oxygen for more than 2 seconds your vision starts going. Another reason to keep both eyes open is if you close one eye, you are tightening your face muscles which throws off your ability to focus with your open eye. Keep both eyes open, breath and focus on the target, not your pins. Practice this with all of your weapons and you will become a better shot.

ButchA, I know you are a good shooter but your post has me wondering if you really are left eye dominate? Sounds like your a lefty who is right eye domminate.

I shoot with both eyes open. Better depth perception and I can watch the arrow flight without dropping my bow arm which can contribute to a bad habit.
