RE: your fps
ORIGINAL: kevin1 Speed thrills , accuracy kills . ;) I checked out and shot a Bear G2 (305 fps) lefty bow one time in a pro shop. It was 29" and 70# with an 80% letoff. Really wicked hot looking bow, you know?? But going from an old time tested, comfortable,PSE round wheel dual cam bow at 230-235 fps to a blazing 305 fpswas too much for me. Hey, I'll be honest... when I hit the release, that thing went off like a rifle! I immediately went, "God--mn!!!!" [&:][:o]and had to gather my wits about me. I just never exactly knew just how fast 305 fps truely was. Maybe it was the 70# weight and the inch shorter draw length, or a combination with the 80% letoff. I don't know.... All I know it is startled the heck outta me! Comfort and ease are better in terms of being able to shoot a bow accurately.Butch A. |
RE: your fps
I agree 100% I'm only shooting 110 fps with my Martin Phantom, 52 lbs28" draw, XX75's with 100 grain Muzzy 4 blades. I don't know what my arrows weigh but they are cut to 28" and have 5" vanes, if anyone knows what they would weigh, that would be great?
