It was estimated, that out of my old PSE bow (65#, 30" draw) with 2315 XX75's, I am just barely shooting around 235 fps.

In my signature.

My hunting setup is much slower though. Probably 275-280fps. I just finished fletching my hunting arrows this week and installed the slick tricks on them, they weigh in at 415-419grains.

I like that quote.... [8D]

I checked out and shot a Bear G2 (305 fps) lefty bow one time in a pro shop. It was 29" and 70# with an 80% letoff. Really wicked hot looking bow, you know?? But going from an old time tested, comfortable,PSE round wheel dual cam bow at 230-235 fps to a blazing 305 fpswas too much for me. Hey, I'll be honest... when I hit the release, that thing went off like a rifle! I immediately went, "God--mn!!!!" [&:][:o]and had to gather my wits about me. I just never exactly knew just how fast 305 fps truely was. Maybe it was the 70# weight and the inch shorter draw length, or a combination with the 80% letoff. I don't know.... All I know it is startled the heck outta me! Comfort and ease are better in terms of being able to shoot a bow accurately.

I agree 100% I'm only shooting 110 fps with my Martin Phantom, 52 lbs28" draw, XX75's with 100 grain Muzzy 4 blades. I don't know what my arrows weigh but they are cut to 28" and have 5" vanes, if anyone knows what they would weigh, that would be great?

Why not take the speed w/ the accuracy? Just because a bow is fast doesn't mean it can't be shot accurately. That would be up to the shooter.:D

RE: your fps

My Martin Slayr is IBO rated @ 325 fps.but That's witha 70# pull and 30 inch draw.I live out in the sticks so I don't have access to a pro shop with a chronograph but I imagine my fps is somewhere around 275 or 280.

My bow is setup for 60# pull, 29 inch draw. Plus all the normal hunting junk. Limbsavers, string whiskers, peep sight, nock point, and release clip.

My arrow is a Carbon Express Terminator 6075 cut to 29 inches with a Muzzy 100 grain 3 blade broadhead.

I know I hear that crap all the time. I'll let those guys pick one and I'll just take both....call me greedy;)

Now on to the question at hand, I shoot a 444 gr. arrow at 283 fps. (it's right around there I can't remember for sure, it may be a little bit more though it's been quite a while since I shot it through a chrono)

Alpine Impact X-treme dual cam, 65#, 29", Easton Carbon Excel, with 100gr. field tips got me 265 fps through the chrono. That and 5" groups at 30 yds and I hope to change my signature. I just have to figure out what 100gr. broadhead to use. Oh, and where to set up, get the right shot.....etc.
