Lone Wolf with the new and bigger seat platform and if youwant higher seat height you can order a longer tube to be installed at the factory.

RE: Which Treestand/climbing sticks?
I just got a Summit Copperhead X5 that I am going to try in one of my favorite spots this season, I haven't hung it yet but just sitting on the ground it's very comfy and fits well. (I'm 6'3")
for sticks it's tough to get more versatile than Summit's Bucksteps. Where you need a pretty straight tree with an unobstructed sight line to your stand using a straight stick, the Bucksteps allow you to snake around branches in any direction you like. I single climbing stick is quicker to set-up but the Bucksteps give you more options for tree selection. |

Lone Wolf by a mile. The best quality you can ask for and rigid and lite. Get a good lock, I am not the only one who thinks so!

And here's one from Justin. Justin how do you feel about the Lone Wolf sticks. (insert picture of Justin here)
ORIGINAL: HNIJustin ORIGINAL: Mazur1 Gorilla makes just about the same sticks. Save about $10 per set of 3. Now in camo! Furthermore, I believe they make the best stands too. I've hunted out of Amackers, Summits, API's, Gorillas, Lone Wolfs, an a few other ones I can't remember and without a doubt in my mind I believe the Lone Wolf stand was the lightest, strongest, quietest, and easiest to set up. I can't wait to get my dirty little paws on a few of those new Alpha Assaults. ![]() Back to you Ted. |
RE: Which Treestand/climbing sticks?
My opinion on this is , since I'm on a budget I would by a gorilla, kong series, and some strong built tree steps. You could find the stand for about 60 bucks and 15 feet of steps for 30 bucks, not a bad price for the quality. It will do the trick for alot less than others. This stand is not the most comfortable in the world nor are the steps the best but it is adaquate for a few hours in the morning and in the evening. Others will say these are junk, that's ok but they work for me. Nevr had a problem with them. Also buy some straps at wal-mart to secure it more, the stuff they give you is not of high quality. Not bad for under a 100 bucks.

RE: Which Treestand/climbing sticks?
Gorrila's sticks were made to copy Lone wolfs, however I beleive they could not get around the part of the pattent protecting the sticks steps going two directional. That right there would be worth the $10. Furthermore, not only does Gorrila copy other peoples ideas, they make them in CHINA to get the price below the origanal designer's. Lone wolf is made in the good ol USA Cudahy Wisconsin.
As far as the stand goes, you cannot get stress noise out of a casting. No squeaks, no cold weather weld creaks, no hollow tube echo when a branch slaps it. Light,. and quiet. The best stand on the market. |
