Anyone shoot these broadheads, I shot muzzy last year and did not like how they flew after 25 yrds. What kind of damage do these do, and do you guys just screw them on and shoot or allign them blades somehow? Thanks, Reflexkid

Kid,

I shoot them and have for my entire bow hunting career (about 7 years) I've taken 7 deer, 2-3 hogs, a ram, a black bear and a bunch of small game with mine. They've performed flawlessly. The only problem I have is getting them to fly right. Once that's accomplished, they're awesome!

I shoot them and will again. My only beef with them is their weight, my 100 are 106. Got the new one's this year and can't say yet if there will be any difference. They fly very true out of my set up. Give'm a try.

That's all I used until I switched to Spitfires.

They are good heads.

Thunder heads are very good and accurate. I try to tune mine but you are limited on what you can do with them. I use the 125's.

Good heads, but any broadhead needs to be tuned with the arrows and the bow. Here is a link you should read through. It will help you better understand broadhead/bow tuning.

I have only used them briefly on one occassion as my broadhead case was lost in travel. Seemed like a very strong, well designed head. They flew about as accurately as any broadhead of that design which I have used...Muzzy, Wasp, etc.... Plenty of customers down at the local shop love them.

I had shot Thunderheads forprobably 10 yearsand alwaysloved them. Always had good target results, penetration and blood trails. I got caught up in all the Muzzy hype and decided to give them a shot. After shooting several animals with the Muzzy's I decided to go back to the Thunderheads. Call me crazy but they just shoot better than the Muzzy's did for me.

I switched to them last year after shooting Grim Reaper mechanicals and I though they shot very well all 3 deer I shot with them last year I got a complete pass thru. Thunderheads are a good choice.

I shoot the Thunderhead 100's with CX300 arrows and Blazer vanes. My bow is a Renegade TR-4 set at 60# with a Vital Bow Gear drop away rest. I have never had any problems shooting Thunderheads from an accuracy or quality standpoint. I have 3 of them that I have used for the last 4 years for target practice and they still fly true. I just replace the blades when they get nicken up with blades that I replaced from my hunting heads. They aren't the cheapest heads on the market, but are well worth the "INVESTMENT"
