Do you need an arrow saw or could you use a Dremmel?
The closet bow shop is 45 miles away.I was thinking of buying the Gold Tip Pros from Cabelas but they come full length. Thanks for your advice.

Homemade arrow saw. Bought the saw itself at Harbor Freight tools for $19.99. Works great.

i suppose a dremel could work, but whatever you cut with needs to be high speed (i think over 5,000 rpm MIN...my personal saw is 8,000 rpm) and be able to cut perfectly straight.

Dude........can you either email me how you made that thing or post it for everyone?? Looks like a pretty nice set up and a good DIY money saver.

Default Thanks Washington Hunter

I went to the Harbor Freight web site for a catalog. That was a very good idea and money saver you have their.
The cheapest arrow saw in Cabela's goes for around 150.00.As we all know, archery can be an expensive sport. It's nice to save money on some things!

WH, they sell the same set-up on bay all the time for reasonable money around 29.00, heck I think they use the same saw... but cool set-up..

As for the using the dremmel , yes you could use it if it turns better than 5000 rpm, BUT ONE BIG PROBLEM!!!!!! is keeping your cut sqaure!! Thats whole nother problem, but a ASD will solve that..

I just use a course hacksaw with some missing teeth.
Then I score theentire shaft lengthwith a razor blade.

Nothing wrong with that, is there ?
