I love my Loggy. I climb it 99.9% of the time but I have a few times used it as a loc-on.

The Summit Broadhead is an excellent stand. The local shop sold plenty of them when they were still carrying treestands. Pretty much a Summit Cobra but with the fold-down-flat feature.
From a practical perspective a hang-on stand makes more sense as you can put them anywhere and in any type of tree. A climber is somewhat simpler to use as you don't need a ladder, steps, etc... and is more comfortable for long sits but won't go on trees with branches on the lower levels. Good luck with whatever you choose. |

the summit viper has my vote...i have a bad back and i can and usually hunt from dark to dark...without climbing down...plus it's super light.

I use both- Lock-ons for secure areas and places I havehunted for a long time. I too - like Parker1 just got the Summit Bushmaster and love it. It is great for the versatility and ability to go explore new woods and not have to worry about if your stand will be there or not. It will also let you move in on those deer that are just out of range. I think both are beneficial!
