Yeah, I know, BF, but when a figure of speech gets repeated as often as this one has been over the past 15 years or so, too many folks forget it's a figure of speech and start thinking it's fact.

You have to love how an unfounded rumor brought about a large discussion of the difference between IBO and AMO speed ratings...don't ya?

I believe what you have said is true. Almost everyone (consumers) accepts the 70-30-350 as the IBO standard test procedure though, as you stated, I don't believe that is clearly written down in any official documentation. I still hear folks are getting away with doing sneaky things with that "standard". When something isn't clearly specified...to the letter...then it makes it easy. ;)
