African hunt TV show

I normally don't watch hunting shows as I get 2 1/2 stations on my rabbit ears at home. I was in NY visiting my dad and was watching cable TV. I don't remember the name of the show, but the guy was stalking a Kudu. I was amazed at the shot that the guy took. He released the arrow AFTER the kudu started spinning. He hit the animal very far back and said that the animal moved just as he released the arrow, WRONG. The crazy part was when he started the stalk, he had a full quiver of arrows. When the tracking started after the initial hit, his quiver was half empty. He finally got up on the kudu and put a finishing spine shot on it. In the final words of the hunt sitting over his trophy, there was one arrow left in the quiver.I was kinda wondering what my have happened to the rest of his arrows. Did anyone catch that show? Other than the poor shot the rest was very entertaining. I got a kick out of the lack of arrows left in the quiver. This guy needs to carry a prop quiver to use when the film is being taken.

I did not see the show but none of this surprises me. A show with a guy running out of arrows in his quiver reminds me of another discussion going on...on this forum. I wonder how many other "issues" continue to go on off camera?

Some of theses guys are ridiculous. I only have 6 bolts at the beginning of bow season each year. Got three deer last year and have 3 unused bolts left.I never used more then one projectile on a single deer.

i wouldnt be too quick to judge. most stalk sequences are filmed after the game is down or at a later time. they just re-enact the hunt because the cameraman gets in the way of the actual hunt. you may catch differences in film shots like how come all the sudden the hunter has no face mask on or different boots

Both of the shots that had been taken, showed both the hunter and the animal in the pic at the same time. One with a full quiver(the initial shot). And the last one where he finished it off. It was pretty obvious, and the guy that I was watching the show with noticed the same thing.
