Default Refletching before the season

Do you refletch right before the start of the season?

I took mine to the local shop the other night and they looked at me like I was nuts. Some of the arrows were still good, but I will have more confidence if I know that all the fletchings are new and in good shape.

I refletch all my arrows before the season starts. I want to make sure they are all flying accurately. I do all the fletching myself, and then shoot a couple rounds with them to make sure they are flying straight.

I end up refletching most of mine becouse I only practice with broadheads. My vanes get tore up pretty good, but if they look good and fly good I leave them alone

There is nothing wrong with refletching before season if you feel the need.If the fletchings are in good shape there may not be a need but it isn't a big deal.I just refletched a dozen myself last week just becauseAnd do a few times every year.Buy yourself a jig and do your own it is really simple, and you can fletch arrows to your liking for tune and apperance.Bill D>

When I was shooting feathers I was reluctant to refletch since they seemed (to me at least) to be a little more inconsistant. Feathers, done right will really fly well but occasionally I would get one that for some reason wouldn't stabilize and had to be redone. The plastic vanes are much more consistant and I don't hesitate...

Rebow...Those broadheads are tough on fletchings aren't they..Another reason I finally made the switch to "heaven help me" mechanicals..Fletch

KEEP THE WIND IN YOUR FACE.... FLETCH
