RE: YES!!! Internet assited hunting is illigal!!!!!!
Glad to hear it here as well. I cannot believe it really even was a question for debate. Other than some extreme circumstances I cannot see how anyone would want to pursue hunting in that fashion.

ORIGINAL: JimboHunter1 Buying meat is one thing, but killing an animal as a result of aiming with your mouse and clicking the mouse button is just an example of a sick, sick video game. I suspect this issue is just like others in our society. Somebody was cutting into somebody's business, maybe those high fenced opp's in Texas, and they took it to where they thought could do the most good to stop it. Just read this, the reason we have plugs in our shotguns is because the double barrel people were against it. Somebody was cutting into somebody's business and they had to make a comprimise. |

I think it is a big win for hunters!
Most hunters do not realize manufactures of hunting gear pay a manufacturing tax. That tax can be 8% up to 18% on total sales. That money us suppose to go back into the hunting fund for the sport. If we the hunters do not buy gear this money is not in the system to support the sport. Also if the company that is manufacturing equipment over seas they are tax exempt. This means no money goes into the hunting fund for us hunters again. This is a death sentence to the sport of hunting if we do not take care of things like this. That is why we need to by U.S.A. (maid) products and keep the stores open that sell hunting gear. If all we need is a mouse pad to go hunt this sport is dead! |

What's the difference in clicking a mouse and pulling a triger. And what's the difference if it is done on an animal out to a thousand yards from the comfort of a heated blind while sipping your favorite beverage looking through a glass window, than doing it from home. It's not a sick video game. The wholeconcept would be a step in the wrong direction for hunters. |
RE: YES!!! Internet assited hunting is illigal!!!!!!
OMG...nodog are you nuts?????? or on crack as guessed earlier?!?!!?!?
How can you possibly agree with hunting over the internet? It is a pathectic excuse for hunting. It is wrong!! Wrong to sit in front of a dumb computer screen inside the comforts of home and aim at a live animal with a mouse.....doesn't sound like much of a hunter to me....that is a poor poor excuse for hunting. It destroys all hunting ethics and IS NOT fair chase. Real hunters participate in the sport because we enjoy being outdoors and challenging deer one on one, trying to fool his nose and his ears. To try and entice an animal within range. If you can't or don't want to go out in field then its this simple...don't hunt!!! I am 100% with banning internet hunting. This IS NOT the next step in hunting, this is the next step in finding an eazier way.......to avoid the endurances of fair chase in the field.....once again..if you don't want to do what it takes...DON'T HUNT, you aren't a hunter if your idea of hunting is sitting in front of a computer and clicking a mouse...it turns hunting into killing because its so easy to aim with a mouse and it turns into a video game gone wrong...except in this case there are real carcasses on the ground. So nodog, and anyone else that supports this.....I don't think you are in the right frame of mind to be a hunter, Period P.S. I am dying to get to November....excited to get up at 5 am, walk through the deep dark timber in freezing conditions and climb up a tree and sit for hours with my trusty Hoyt at my side. Its what I live for....the enjoyment of hunting...not the enjoyment of killing from my computer chair |
RE: YES!!! Internet assited hunting is illigal!!!!!!
Nodog,
I truly believe had this been made legal it would have been horrible for the hunting community. The best qualities of hunters are the fact that they are hard working and willing to spend their time and pour their blood, sweat, and tears into earning their game. What does it say for us when we aren't even willing to put some dirt under our boots and actually do something to earn what we take and we just push a button?? Its so far different from honest hunting that its not even funny, if fact i dont think it could have been called hunting at all. |
