RE: If you could buy any climbing stand?
My answer for both questions is the Summit Goliath. It's very stable, comfortable, quiet and easy to use. For smaller hunters the Viper is an excellent choice, butI prefer the extra room of the Goliath.

Yep, throw another vote in for the latest incarnation of the Summit Viper. Easy to use, quiet and comfortable.

Doesn't anybody use Ol' Man climbers? I don't have one myself, but my buddies use them and they seem really nice, they all love them.
I got a Lone Wolf Alpha Hand Climber Combo for my birthday, and I love it. It can be dangerous because it is so small, but I think its great for bowhunting, especially on those long hikes in. Its small and compact, and quiet when going through brush. It sets up quick and allows for easy shooting. |

Summit Viper. Love it!

Summit Openshot. Its only 14 lbs and is made with the bow hunter in mind. Better yet, if youhave the old summit platforms you can purchase the top piece and it will work with the older platforms. Saves alittle $.

RE: If you could buy any climbing stand?
I already have the stand that I want.....Lone Wolf Alpha SitnClimb. Mine is not as comfy as a Summit(I don't have the new seat w/backrest), but the ease of carrying, climbing, weight, stability and quietness is well worth it to me plus the stand will not slip. If there was no Lone Wolf it would most likely be a Summit.

RE: If you could buy any climbing stand?
Money not being a consideration the Lone Wolf Sit and Stand climber. Next in line would be the Summit Razor X5. The Summit is just about the same as the Lone Wolf, but the Lone Wolf is lighter and a little more adjustable. I don't know if that's worth $100 to me though.

RE: If you could buy any climbing stand?
I've got an API Grand Slam Super Star, the one with the climbing bar that moves out of the way for an open stand and a foot rest that can be positioned as a rifle rest. I think its pretty good, but I might have to try a Summit Viper next time around.
