RE: How many use a single pin sight...

With my old sight I had 3 pins and I slid the one to the top and one to the bottom and only used the one set at 20 yards, that way if I broke it I could slide a different pin down. I got the VBG Proslide because I liked the single vertical pin and it was very bright and smaller than some of the others. It also seemed to be lighter. I need to come up with a way to dim it down a bit though, in the sun it can be hard to see the target it is so bright. I also like the glow in the dark strip under the fiber optic cable. With my VBG sight andmy Hind Sight II (glows in the dark too) I could actually shoot my bow in the dark (assuming I could see what I was aiming at).

I always leave it on 20 yards while hunting and shooting 3D, I feel it is better practice shooting 3D the same way I would be hunting. This is my favorite sight yet.

I just started shooting a single pin Impact Archery Site. I am very pleased and it will definately take any decisions out of the equation when it is time to shoot. The wrapped fiber optics and vertical pin is also a great new addition to my set-up. All that is left is a little fine tuning.

I have used a SightMaster Pro Hunter for at least 10 years and I don't see me ever going back to multiple pins again. With a adjustable sight there's no reason to have all of those oins in your way. For hunting I set it at 25 yards and just compensate.

I switched to a single pin for hunting last season. I will never go back. I have the Vital Bow Gear Profix. It is an awesome sight.

I've switched this year to single-pin moveable sites. I'm pretty happy so far. The true test will come this fall.

I just purchased the HHA Optima Lite and am very pleased so far. It can slide up for different yardages but my Defender shoots pretty flat out to 30 yards. Only about an inch high at 20. I looked at it and the Cobra single pin sites and felt that it was a more rugged design. No plastic on this one. These 2 had the brightest pin out of all the sites I looked at. I shot the Trophy Ridge Matrix with 5 pins last year and feel a single pin is easier to pick up.

The COSMIC by IMPACT ARCHERY is a great sight and combined with the no-peep you can shoot right up to the end of legal shooting---LOVE THIS COMBO!
