Let the games begin fellas!!! My group of 6 got drawn and this is my 1st year bow hunting down there!

About $315 if I recall correctly. For 1 buck. It gives you a small game liscense too so you can hunt pheasants if you are lucky enough to hunt on a property that has birds. That's a little steep IMO. I can go to Missouri which is almost as good for $120 and harvest 1 buck, 1 doe, and a turkey. And I also don't have to apply for the lottery. What sucks though is I have 5000 acres of family farm land in IA that I can hunt whenever I want. I just hate having to jump thru hoops to do it. [:-]

they raised the price to a touch over 400 now. it's insane. We got land there too that we have to jump through hoops to hunt on. blame the iowa bowhunters assoc., they think NR's are stealing land for outfitting and stuff. it's a travesty how they do things in the Iowa DNR. they want deer shot and the population is too high but they won't let NR's help in any of it.

checked my results:DENIED. pricks...well, thank the lord that iowa has party hunting..will be buying my doe tags in the next week or so. take that IBA...

Maybe I'll look some more up later...so next year, you'll be season Waddel whack a big one on Monster Bucks 14, Terry Drury will have a big one for Whitetail Madness 9, and Bob Foulkrod will be shooting one probably for Monster Bucks. I couldn't remember all of the Primos Gang, ill have to watch the Truth and see if any of them guys drew.

Hey Xtec! Where in Iowa will you be hunting? How long have you been applying? Why did you choose Iowa over other big buck hot spots? Just curious how all you out of state guys go about getting tags, and why you choose Iowa. Good luck while you're here, and make sure to post pics.
