it's been 5 years for me ,I would never got started if my Dad never started bowhunting ,so i got hook since he shot his first Buck !

I started bowhunting when I was probably about 9. My parents thought i was kidding when i told them I was going hunting, but the cottontails probably didn't like it one bit. I've been hunting off and on since then, but seriously have started getting into it the last couple of years... I'm 44, lol. Not many deer to my name, a couple of turkeys, but I have a great time every time I get out.

Been hunting since I was 13. Now I'm 39. I started bowhunting at 17. Got lucky, Very lucky and killed a buck my first year with a bow. (At a range of 3 yards.)

I started hunting when I was about 4. I started carrying a gun while hunting (dove) when I was about 7.

I took the hunter's safety course at 12 and started hunting squirrels. I didn't hunt deer until I was 20 and got lucky with a 6 pointer my first year bowhunting. I have been hunting off and on ever since but have really gotten into to it the past 5 years. I'm 39 now but sometimes I feel like I'm 60. :D

Glad to see you on here. You will get alot of great advice here. I am 34 yrs old and have been bowhunting since I was about 20. In case you haven't figured it out yet I am your Uncle Bubba.[:'(]

I started hunting around the age of 5 with my dad in S.C. bird hunting mostly. He had deer hunted when he was in his 20's but never really took me. At the age of 14 I shot my first deer which was a doe with a .270. I got into bowhunting when I was 17 and have never hunted deer with a gun since. I've shot 4 deer so far with a bow (2 bucks, 2 does) in the past 2 years. I'm now 22.

i was shooting rifles and bows ever since i could hold one. but i started hunting small game when i was 12 then i practiced shootin my bow for a year so i bow hunted when i was 13. im 14 and i was able to rifle hunt last season.

I'm 43. Started huntingwith guns last year. Bought a bow and will be using it this year. I never saw a gun (used for hunting)until I moved to West Virginia from Long Island.
Most kids here get thrir first gun before they get their first bike. I guess "when in Rome"
