A great day....

60 yards is not uncommon in the 3D community and before you go patting yourself on the back, grouping at 60 yards makes you a decent shot, it doesn't necessarily make you a great archer. I've been shooting 60 yards for years, grouping Muzzys at that distance and I truly doubt I ever attempt that shot on deer, even with a rangefinder. I guarantee I can make it but is the deer going to be standing perfectly still when the arrow arrives, I doubt it. I was 12 ringing elk targets prior to my elk hunt at 70 yards and prayed I didn't get a shot offered like that, I'd passed. Fortunately I shot my bull elk at 33 yards and in the black forest, that was a long shot.
Congrat's on grouping at longer distances, it does make the shorter shots easier but the shorter ones are missed by the best shots because they take it for granted, remember that. Take each shot as serious as the next, especially on live game, each one counts the same.
Being a great archer is passing animals at 60 yards and hunting them another day and connecting under 20 on the same animal. Eccessively long shots on game just makes you a good shot, not a great archer and even less than a great bowhunter. IMHO
