Visit as many pro shops as you can and try as many bows as you can and pick the one that feels the best to you.
Most pro shops will have a range that you can shoot on and some even have leagues you can compete in.
Or you could go and check out a 3d shoot.

I second the pro shop idea. Look in your local yellow pages under archery for thier listings. If you have a friend who hunts or shoots they can be a great source of information.

Go to your local bow shops and try out different bows. They will fit you according to your needs, and don't be afraid to ask questions.
