What is our sport coming to?

How many of you have said "If only I could plant a GPS-like tracking device to my arrow so that I will never lose a deer." ?
I know I've heard it said before. Well, here it is. The Bow Bug. You heard me right folks, a GPS-like tracking device that attaches to your arrow and lodges into the animal upon impact.
According to the website it is;
Easy to use
Fits all archery setups and arrows
Does not interfere with the flight of the arrow
No need to adjust bow sights (up to 30 yards)
Does not prevent arrow pass throughs.
500 yard range (line of sight), woodland ranges vary upon terrain (150 yard average)
Last for up to 130 continuous hours
Can be reused
Use with any broadhead or expandable
Don't believe it? See for yourself; BOW BUG
This is one investment I won't be making. We're taking all the fun out of the sport. [:'(]

i've heard of that before and many other weird and "wonderful" devices for hunting. their is another where u attach string, sorta like neon fishing line, and when u shoot it stays in the deer and if ur deer doesn't run to far u can track it down with the string, i just heared about this, never seen it but someone told me about it, it sounds cheesy to me though, but ya never know.

This is the same type transmitter that they use on released animals that they wan't to track down again. Also the same kind they put on hunting dogs. About time they come out with this system for arrows. Can't imagine the price being very resonable right now. Also have a hard time believing that this design would not affect arrow flight. And only on average 100 yard reception, I think they could have done better........................................... On a side note how about putting a couple of these inside of some feed, you would be able to track down your game[:-]

Illinois is a no electrical tracking device state so yeah, this would be a no no. Electronics on the sights are fine... Now, the last I heard the string trackers were legal but I just picture that thing getting wrapped up on a limb on you...
