looking to replace the black plastic on the chains for my climber.
Anyone know where I can get this or is it just heavy shrink tube used by electricans?
Thanks

You can check Ebay. I read a post a while back, not even sure if it was here or another board regarding replacing the shrink tubing with plain glass tubing. You have to remove the plastic bushings that go into the stand, and cover the chains with the regular tubing. I tried it, it works great. Maybe if you did a search you could find the post...

Try API itself. A garden hose works fine also.

I think the fix was on another board... I can't find it, but I think I have it saved to my hard drive at work. If I find it, I'll let ya know. There are a bunch of replacements on ebay tho, i searched and found them

Duct tape to rubbery tree grabbing goo when I tried it on my API chains also. Made a bad thing worse IMHO.
The garden hose trick sounds like a good one though.
