Looking for some good whitetail / bowhunting reading material
#3
i am too in need of some new crapper material. i've read my own personal 200 book/magazine library about a dozen times over so its getting old. i can, however, recommend a good book:
Aggressive Whitetail Hunting by Greg Miller. Great book, learned a few things, overall a good read, gives you another prespective on deer hunting. it's really made for bow hunters too

When I get hunting books from the library they often come from your part of the state. You guys have them all there. Not sure if you know this but you can from your local library get any book from any library in the state. There are hundreds of them. You also can request they buy one if they don't have what you want. It only takes a couple of days. You can do all the ordering on line.

Dan Bertalens "Bowhuntings Whitetail Masters" This is an accumulation of some very accomplished whitetail bowhunters from all over the country. Each chapter is written from a different master's perspectives. Too many good ones to list, a couple that didn't interest me much, but over all a good solid wealth of information from those fellas featured. Its an early 90's publication if I remember right.
I've read Millers books, Morris's books, Ozogdas, Alshimers, Towsleys on the Benoits. Enjoyed them all.

Greg Miller books are really good. I really liked rublines. If you are a beginner, bowhunting basics is good. I am reading Ted Nugents' blood trailsII right now. I would also highly recomend Hal Bood's Hunting Big Woods Bucks.

I’m currently reading the book Those Were the Days by Archibald Rutledge forwarded by Robert Wegner
If you’re looking for something other than “how too” books give this a look. It’s interesting reading, controversial at times but hunting in the Deep South, or anywhere for that matter in early 1900s was different from today. The Author paints the picture of the times and his thoughts on hunting, life, and conservation well and I enjoy the read.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
Any good books on whitetail biology and behavior? Not so much looking for "how to's" although I will still read them if nothing else interests me. Reading stimulates the mind
