I've watched a few of his shows and I'm still making up my mind. My first impression is that he is a jacka$$. But while my first impressions are usually right, I will give the guy the benefit of the doubt for now.

Love the guy , him and the Nuge , their both crazy , and love'n life . No compromise pepole who arnt afraid to tell you what they think , I dont agree with them all the time , but at least they are not limp wristed guys who are afraid to voice their oppinion .

I would rather watch his show then Elk Country Journal or the Benellis show on OLN, there both terrible. But I'm not a big fan of fishing shows and I like to watch shows that hunt for trophy animals, so Treds show gets old pretty quick.

Love him, dont know why, maybe its the bow, maby the aditude. He knows that he is not that likeable and he says it in his them song.

I know a guy like Barta. He is an ******* and as long as you realize that up-front, and look at what he’s saying as opposed to how he’s saying it, he’s alright. I used to get upset about people like Barta and Nugent because they make all hunters look like crazed maniacs, but I have since realized that no matter how you present yourself the anti-hunting tree hugging community are always going to look down on us. Barta is on OLN for one reason, he gives you 30 minutes of entertainment like him or not. Someone like Pamela Anderson is way on the other end of the spectrum but she just gets alot more press and is alot better to look at.

My bos is like Barta. Can't stand either one of them. Something about super arrogant people that act like they always have something to prove and want everyone to know about it. Makes me want to crack a bat over his head.

Worst "hunting"[&:] show on television.

I wrote the network a few months ago about this show telling them I surely hoped they could find someone better then Barta to represent us hunters. Cause he was at the bottom of the barrel.

As far as Nugent goes he is far and away a better representation of us hunters then Barta will ever be. Nugent is crazy and in his own little world but is still a very friendly person and does a lot for the hunting and gun community. Barta is just an arrogant A$$ HOLE that happend to have enough money to spend on hunting and fishing theat a TV network noticed him..

He's ok in my book! I like his show! My 9 year old son likes him as well!

I'd prefer to watch Byron Ferguson's show - the one that got cancelled after a way too short run - but, in my book, Barta's no worse than any other TV hunter. At least he's not peddling all that stuff that's 'guaranteed to make you a better bowhunter.' I'm so sick of that baloney I can't hardly watch outdoor shows any more.
