As far as accuracy, The best I have shot, are any 2 blade with a 1-3 ratio. Any well tuned bow will shoot any well made broad head is a true statement. I have found that in windy conditions ,that I meet up with frequently on desert hunts, the 2 blade 1-3 ratio is less efected by windy conditions. Knowing your limitations is very important on any hunt. By using this combination I feel that I can expand my limitations by using this type of head and I can keep myself in the game longer.

There are lots of broadheads that will do the trick. Muzzy, InnerLoc is a good one. Perfect alignement with the shaft is one of the requirments. But even with all that you must have a bow that is tuned to perfection to get the best flight characteristics. You don't tune your bow and it doesn't matter what fixed head you use. They just may not group well.

To that end you have all summer to get it tuned right. Easton's Tunbing Guide can be a good help. Download it and use it.

I use to shoot a satalite TNT mag 125g. If I could find them I'd still be shooting them. They flew awesome and left a nasty hole. The past two seasons I've been shooting muzzy heads and have had good results. It took a bit of tinkering to group them with field points but once tuned they get the job done. I have also never lost a blade from a muzzy which I can't say about some of the cheaper heads I've shot.

What are some things you can do to retune your bow so the broadheads match the field points. Where do recomend beginning?

I shot NAP Nitrons last year and they seemed to fly pretty good. I have some slick tricks on order right now. If they fly as good as everyone says they do, I will be one happy camper!

I shoot Montec G5 Broadheads 140 gr. I am very impressed with them and the knock down, pass through power the have. I don't know of a broahead that shoots harder, due to the weight I lost a little speed but I like the pack of the punch rather than how fast it hits! They are considered the straightest fixed blade broadhead on the market. I believe they have a straightness factor of .002

I also just ordered some slick tricks. We will have to compare results.
As for the tuning issue. Last night I got my broadheads to hit 3" to the left and group there. I will keep tinkering with them.

Does anyone know if moving my rest slightly will effect the field point tune? I worry about moving the rest and getting worse. Any suggestions?

On my compound, I think slick tricks are about the most accurate. For the longbow, I agree with elkcrazy8, about the 3 to 1 ratio, or there abouts is pretty good. Stos and grizzly's come to mind.
