RE: One, Two Three or more pins?

I have been using one pin as well for many years, and have it set for 25 yards. But, lately I'm starting to lean with the idea of having two pins now. One for 25 and one for 35 yards. Like the other's have said, it all depends on how fast your bow is and how flat it shoots.;)

I use one at 20 yds, one at 30, and one at 40.

One pin! If your bow is fairly fast, (not ancient) one pin is very simple, clear and effective. Just try it for a month of practice. You'll learn quickly how high to aim on longer shots. My Patriot is sighted in at 20 yards. from 0 to 23 its right on..... at 30 yards I aim about 3 to 4" high...about the deer's spine. If you practice alot out to 40 isn't toobad with a single pin but I wouldn't reccomend it. My hunting max shot is 30, if your is more you want to add pins.

I WI I bet your average shot is just like MN........about 15 to 20 yard!

Good Luck!

I shot 3 pins I think that is plenty for where I hunt that puts me good out to 40 yards.

I have shot a single pin in past years but my current set up I shoot two. I shoot 1 pin to 25 yds and my second is set @ 35 yds. Between the two I'm set to 40yds although I've never shot a deer beyond 23 yards.

I like just one pin for hunting which is good for around 0-30yrds but I also have another pin which is set at about 40yrds for fun practice and rabbits etc.

For hunting -- 20, 30 and 40 yards

For practicing, I add two more pins at 50 and 60 yards.
