only thought I've got is that this is the "Gear Review" forum...you buy bowhunting gear, like it (or not), you review it here so the rest of us can learn about it.

Moose-I could care less which forum it is. I just got a new PSE Carrera and it is awesome. You won't believe how nice any of the new stuff is. Extremely quiet with NVs on it and real fast. I don't think you will get much for the old rig. I am giving my old carrol intruder to a freind who wants to try a bow. You might want to keep it for a backup bow. My first elk hunt in Montana was also my first bowhunt and I crashed my atv with bow on front! Backup bow would have been nice. Good luck on your hunt for bow and animals.

Dont give up on a 2 cam bow , they have advantages . The new bowtechs and hoyt 2 cam bows are very good not to mention darton [ a 2 cam IMO ] and merlin . Check them all out before you buy and you may just come out of the shop with a 2 cam .

If you are referring to the Mathews Legacy, I can tell you it is a solid bow. If you are used to those wheels, you may want to look at the Mathews Icon with it's concentric solocam. I think the problems with dual cams are overstated. I currently own a couple of single cam bows but would not hesitate to go back to a dual cam bow if the fit, form and function suited me.

I for one miss the D.S. Hatchet Cams on my last High Country bow.
My new HCA Ultra has the mathews solo cam and shoots very well but lacks the speed of the traditonal twin cam set up.
