they are great bows. had mine a year and like it very much. they make quality bows in all price ranges. some around here will call anything junk if it doesn't start with a Bowtech or Matthews and cost >$700!

I"ve had PSE bows since 79. I had one(still in the days of laminated limbs) that showed some minor cracking and sent it in and they replaced for free of course. I suspect the limbs may have been fine because it looked superficial to me but I wanted to check.
Last one I bought was in 92 and is still so good that I really don't have need to buy another.
Great bows and company.

PSE bow are good bows, they aren't a Mathews, or a Bowtech, or a Hoyt, but they are good bow none the less. You may check out www.parkerbows.com They are probably the most bow you will get for your money, and you can get a combo pack for around $400

You've seen how long its been since I bought a new bow. But I just cannot see that a Matthews is any better than a top of the line anything else. In fact I had a PSE insider tell me that almost all top of the line factory bows are better than their lower lines, but that the difference is a selling point for profits and that the real world hunting(not 3d/target) situtaions, one could tell very little if any difference between any of the major brands and their top to mid line bows.
What I have noticed is that folks certainly like the different "feels" of brands. How it feels, how it draws etc.... That is worth testing for your own.
I've been out of archery retail for so long I feel old though, and I'll admit that I may be missing the boat, but I just dont' think so.

I totally agree with doughboy,PSE in my opinion is a very nice bow.I have been shooting them since I was 11 years old.And never had one problem with any of them. I just bought a mathews outback because i got a heck of a deal on it,and it too is a nice bow.But when I head out to my treestand I always find myself grabbing my "good ole" PSE Carrera. They just seem to be a good SOLID HUNTING BOW. I am not saying that the other brands are not but i am partial too my PSE"s probably because that is about the only bows that i shot over the years.
