RE: The Block: Worth the price?

The block is definitely not worth the money. For a broadhead target, I find it hard to beat the Rinehart broadhead target, Rhino Block is the name I think.

Apparently I don't shoot my bow as often as some of you. I bought one at the beginning of summer and show mostly field tips through it and I'm pleased with it. However, I have a friend that bought one about the same time as me and shot broadheads through it and his is torn to pieces....so when it came time for broadhead adjustments I just used his! :)

The CUBE is much better for broadheads. It doesn't sliver like the Block and you can shoot it from all six sides. I have thousands of BH shots into mine and it still has tons of life left.

I guess I don't shoot at my Block enough...I've had it since this spring and it is still holding together great. I only shoot broadheads at it to get sighted in with them, then go back to field points. I will also shoot broadheads a few times during the season to make sure everything is still dead on. I don't feel a need to shoot my broadheads at it anymore than that. So to answer your question, if you shoot field points most of the time, it is a great target. Just my personal experience.

I agree ranger.....what I mostly shoot is field points and when I site my broadheads in I either use my friend's Block that they tore up or I'll flip mine around and shoot the back side of it. Maybe this will prolong the life of it, maybe...only time will tell. LOL

i have a bag. and i think that it is the best because the stuff inside moves around and will fill in the holes from perevious arrows.

I have the Block, Black Hole and the Morell range bag.

If you are going to do most of your shooting with field points then get the range bag they never wear out.

The Black hole I have had for 4 years and it mainly gets broad heads altho I keep it in the back of my truck and practice at work on the week ends I was getting pass throughs with it but I had it rebanded to compress it now no problems with pass throughs.

The block is holding up ok but is showing signs of wear I have it next to my range bag at my private range where I teach some of the local kids the wonderfull art of archery.

I've been shooting my Block on and off with field points and broadheads for two years now and its holding up great. In fact my wife, brother and friend also shoot it fairly often. I feel the target is well worth the price.
